My Cucumbers Died!!! :(
I planted my garden about two weeks ago.
I planted:
Sugar Snap Peas
Green Beans
Cucumbers
Brocoli
Cauliflower
Brussel Sprouts
Three Tomato Plants (Early Girl, Bonnie Best, & Purple Cherokee)
Everything is doing great and has at least doubled in size... except the cucumbers... they all died.
Everything was in the same soil, same watering conditions, and exposed to the same elements. The only thing I can think is that the cucumbers aren't as cold tolerant because it got down to mid 40-degrees a few nights after planting.
Any ideas? I'm going to buy some new ones today and replant.

I have my cucumbers still indoors and I put them outside when it's nice out. I will probably put them out memorial day but so far, some nights are pretty chilly. Can't wait to get them going! Anyways, sorry to hear about yours!

I guess that's what I get for planting by date instead of temperature/weather.
I just picked up another 1/2 flat at lunch today... think I'm gonna take my chances and plant them after work.

From what Ive read cucumbers don't like their roots to be disturbed at all (hence the directions to sow straight in the ground). I would be very careful when removing them to transplant.
