The Last Compost Bin

Postby MorpheusPA » November 9th, 2011, 7:21 pm

For the year, anyway. It's packed pretty tight, tighter than I really like to do, with about three quarters of the gardens. Once it settles, I'll grind and mix the remainder into it and let it perk over the winter.

On the up side, the temperature was 64 when I finished it, and is already 92 degrees. With that mass--about sixty pounds of mixed browns and greens and another ten pounds of water--I'm expecting a high temperature somewhere at or near 160.
