Re: Better Way to Mix Micronutrients with Milorganite?
Sorry about the thread resurrection. I recently purchased the OdJob Mixer made by Scepter. It is marketed as a manual concrete mixer but can also be used for mixing soils and fertilizers. I will be testing this mixer for my micronutrient applications this spring.
The Odjob is made to mix up to 60 lbs of concrete, but I don't know yet how much Milorganite it can hold and still mix properly. The mixing is accomplished via internal baffles.
I am talking about this right now, because it is possible that the Objob has been discontinued. So if you are interested in trying it out, you may want to try to find one sooner than later. The store I bought it at (Menards ~$23) listed the item as discontinued. I will test it out this spring and report back on my results.

I bet it will work good. Still might need a light misting of water, though.
I use a large round tub from wally world and turn it back and forth(Think steering wheel motion turning left and right over and over.)
If there is a little "dust" that I see sitting in the bottom, it needs just a touch more water and mixing.
