Finally Got the Perfect Rain
It's been running to the north and running to the south, but I finally got the perfect rain and was in the perfect location.
A steady 15-hour rain set up late yesterday afternoon, and I was smack-dab down the center of a 40-mile wide band that delivered 1.66". That's just what I needed to kick into late-summer mode.
That's it - I'm committed!!

No, he should have been committed years ago.
We got 0.8" as of 11 PM, and it rained a lot after that. I haven't bothered to look at the rain gauge yet, but I'm guessing much better than an inch.
This was a really nice storm that delivered great rainfall across the whole area!

I got great rain for my seeds. 1/4 inch of rain nice and slow. I had no wash out and the rain did not move the peatmoss around.

Good to hear Simpson.
I'm at 2 inches as per rain gauge, nice break for a few hrs before more showers. I had some puddling but in flat areas so I'm not concerned about run off. I'm actually seeing some fuzz where there was just soil
Now the sun is shining drying the soil for the next round of showers

1.41" of rain total on the back deck, or perfect for Not Seeding and Could Use It.
But it's perfect that you didn't get that, Simpson. Sorry, CT.
I'm re-upping my kelp, humic acid, and soil conditioner again (after doing it yesterday). That washed in perfectly. More rain is expected today.

Re: Finally Got the Perfect Rain
I'm actually OK. Sunny now until 7pm, then some more rain 30-40% chance. All in all it could've been much worse and I get a break from watering.

Fortunately, at this point the seed's worked into the soil and less likely to erode, particularly with the dead grasses still there. And rain may knock over sprouts, but they always seem to pop right back up, happier than ever. I certainly got a lot of thunderstorms on my reno and had no issues.

Rain? What's that? Most storms missed us again...I'm starting to think that my area is covered by a giant dome
