Beginning to Cool in Northeast?

Beginning to Cool in Northeast?

Postby andy10917 » August 3rd, 2011, 9:11 am

The closer we get to August 15th, the better the chances that an honest cooling trend can take shape. With the 10-Day forecast now getting closer to reaching August 15th, there isn't a whole lot of extreme heat in the picture for the Noertheast. Where I live, the forecasts are 81-84 degrees for the next 10 days, and nighttime temperatures beginning to slip under 65 and trending closer to 60 over time.

Wishful thinking maybe - we all know that forecasts are worth a little less than you pay for them, but hey - a forecast of low eighties beats a forecast of 103.

I know that for many of you in other parts of the country, you probably feel like low-eighties are a pipe dream, but you'll get back at us when the snows come 'round.

Down this-a-way we're still forecast for near-90, but that's a lot lower than before. It seems like we're past the worst of it for the year. Probably.

This is the time of year that it is nice to live near Buffalo. Temps around low eighties, and also rain. What else could a lawn ask for?

I hope they are right Andy. My seedlings would like some cooler temps to help germinate!
