Reno w/ drought
I need an opinion on timing with my lawn pseudo-renovation project. Mostly overseed with some new seeding (TTTF) 30,000sqft total.
First, I must inform you that we've been experiencing a drought for the last 6wks. (Less than 0.5" rain) I've got cracks in the yard you could drive a Mack truck through.
I've been getting all geared up and excited about doing this, and have been looking forward to this time of year as it's the "typical" time slot for it. But I'm getting nervous about the lack of rain. The reno time slot is 8/15 to 9/15 according to the local experts. Should I wait a few weeks to see if its going to rain? Or at least wait until temps drop a bit so all of watering doesn't just evaporate? Or do I just go for it and keep the sprinklers on? (It's gonna be a LOT of H2O)
I've got a lot of money wrapped up in product, so I want things to be as successful as possible.
