Poa Supina Destruction and KBG Renovation
After all my problems with the "What was the problem?" thread in the cool season area...I have decided to destroy all the Supina in the rear yard. It was not growing in many places when the temps got high beginning in June. I planted it two years ago, overseeded last August and it just never worked in quite a few places, though were it took hold, really built the stolons.
So, I have started to do the reno in the back yard. Wow, that supina really took hold! I have stolons in a mat of grass. As I mentioned, I had so many brown patches that died/went dormant during June and July that I felt I had to reno even though it was coming back as the temps lowered and it got more water. I felt it would never be good due to the summer heat.
I power raked it and the green supina, along with that which is dormant/dead just balled up as it was raked. In some places, you could just pull it up just like carpet...sod-like with a very thin soil attachment. So, I now have a roughed up yard with quite a bit of poa still there and I guess I need to roundup it all so it never comes back to crowd out the new kbg I wish to plant.
Any suggestions? Assuming I have to kill all the supina, should I have to rototill the soil to make ready the seed bed? Do I remove all the remaining dead supina after the roundup application?
I've read most the reno posts and guess I still need some basic guidance. Thanks.

PS...Boy, I'd never, ever do the Supina again! What a pain in the @$$!
