Toads

Toads

Postby MorpheusPA » August 23rd, 2011, 10:12 pm

Don't get me wrong, I like them. They're welcome here. I have quite a number and I'm thrilled when I see one (simple lives for simple minds, I suppose).

In the last few days, I had to remove one from the garage (easy) and from the back deck before putting the dogs out (difficult). I doubt it, but is there an easy way to simply bar entry to the patio and garage? I'd rather not have them where the dogs will eat them, nor in the garage if I can help it.

I found one inside in the bathroom a while back. I stared at it a while, then decided to let it be.

Well, it had a ready water source... :-) Did it wander out of the house again? The one time I had one inside I caught it in a shoebox and released in the garden.

I never saw it again. My guess is cat food.

It seems like when I see them at my place its too late I've already stepped on them. They always sit on my sidewalk in the pitch black. Theres a bunch of babies that always come around at night. I've KO'd 3-4 this year on accident.
Thanks in Advance,

James

btw you might want to look into a new seal for the bottom of your garage door they make several different ones including one thats caulked to the floor and it makes a nice tight compression against the door when shut

I have a bug zapper outside my barn and every night the toads and frogs hang out under it to enjoy a freshly cooked meal.
