Snakes, My Dogs, and Holes in my lawn
OK my back yard butts up against a corn/bean field. Whichever they plan to harvest that year. I have snakes all the time along the back of my fence line coming in and out of the field. I want to just add I'm terribly afraid of snakes, ha. I have no problem beating them with a stick but you'll never catch me picking one up etc. Anyways my female pit is chasing the snake along the fence line and she's been digging holes where the snake is going into. She's getting a decent hole. I keep going out there and stomping the dirt back in the hole but she continues to do it when she seems them.
Is there anyway to keep the snakes from coming in my yard. For one it would ease my mind while mowing as I cant stand them. and two it will keep my dogs in the backyard and not digging holes. I have a feeling she's going to end up digging under the fence and escaping trying to catch them.

Thanks in Advance,
James

Re: Snakes, My Dogs, and Holes in my lawn
I might add I dont want to kill the snakes as they keep the field mice to a min. in my garage. I just want to keep them off my property if possible (I was thinking about putting a no trespassing sign up to see if that would work, lol) and keep my dogs from digging at them
I just read on a search engine that granulated sulfur will keep them away. Anyone tried this? I could drop it on the other side of the fence in the easement hoping to keep them away. And the dogs wouldnt be able to get into it incase its harmful. I also see they make other stuff like liquid fence but not sure how gimicky this stuff is
