Rabbits
First off, I have been reading the formus for quite some time and wish to thank everybody for all the great advice. After trying everything in my power to stop rabbits from destroying my lawn (sprays, fencing, dogs), it is time I turn to the pros. I have about 8000 feet of tall fescue that the rabbits absolutely decimate. The lawn starts off well every spring, but once the rabbits find it, they eat it to bare dirt. I can look out on any given night and count at least 20 in the lawn. My house backs up to forest on 3 sides and is fenced with chain link and 2 foot of chicken wire at the bottom, which they claw and pull on until they get in. The smaller ones just squeeze thru. The 5 or 6 brands of spray I have tried have done nothing and the dog has given up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: Rabbits
What about placing hardware cloth along the base of the chainlink instead of chicken wire? Hardware cloth has much finer holes and is generally thicker.

Re: Rabbits
I have tried it in spots, however the rabbits still manage to get under it. It is also quite cost prohibitive as I have about 800 feet of fence.

Have you looked into motion sensing sprinklers. I have no idea if a jet of water is enough to scare rabbits away, but if it don't work I guess you can return it.
