avacado for $1.49!?

how about the 2 for a $ lemons and limes?

I started an avocado from seed in June. Its about an inch long, with 3 microscopic buds that may or may not be future leaves. It might possibly be the slowest growing plant ever (at least from seed).

I managed a few very sad oranges once from an orange tree, but that was a constant struggle.
If you had a conservatory, you could probably do a much better job. The best I could manage was a south-eastern window.
