I picked up a torn bag for $5,

Is the zinc and copper listed that beneficial or is it better to consider it like alfalfa?

Think of it as alfalfa. Even if you got 50 pounds, 100 PPM is 0.005 pounds, or 0.08 ounces. Spread over as little as a thousand square feet, that's a PPM rise of 0.1 maximum. At more normal rates, it's far less than that!

Be careful with that. I used it once at the beginning of a season before I put my pre M down. I had something pop up all over my newly renovated lawn. Not sure if you got the same one but mine had full seeds in it.
