Soybean Meal still there
Tell me if this is normal. I applied 30 pounds of Soy 2 weeks ago. Irrigated 3 times for a total of 3 inches of water during that span. Granules of soy are still visibal and have not fully decomposed into the soil.

For starting with organics, that's pretty normal. Your soil's all "What's that? Um, and I do what with it?"
As time goes on, decay accelerates to the point that it starts to disappear almost immediately.

I use molasses to try to speed up the process. I put down the soy and then spray with molasses; 2-3oz per 1000 square feet is what I shoot for.
