Flowers. While a lot of my flowers are edible (even tasty), and the seeds, I don't have veggies.

I can't imagine the response would be worse than neutral, and just might be stellar.

I'm probably just going to put it all down between the two lawns, hit my shrubs as well. It's probably overkill but if it doesn't hurt anything, then why waste it. Maybe the farm can give me a smaller amount though.

Did you go to Save the Dairy in Queen Creek?

$10 a gallon?? The cow isn't the only one getting milked. I spoke with the farmer at the place where I get it for $4 a gallon ($5 if he provides the container), and he told me that the profit is great at $4 compared to what he gets for selling milk wholesale.

I've yet to see any place offer it for less than $10 a gallon, at least locally. $4 a gallon is almost negligible cost compared to name-brand supermarket milk and is significantly cheaper than name-brand organic milk.

There is really only one location in the greater Phoenix area (and calling Queen Creek part of the greater Phoenix area is a stretch, to be honest) that sells raw milk directly to consumers, as far as I can tell. I suppose $10 is what you can get away with charging if you're the only game in town.

Oops! It went up to $4.50 a gallon.

Here's the location where I buy mine: Freedom Hill Farm.

It's worth noting that about 5 years ago the Arizona Dairymen Association and Department of Agriculture started flexing their muscle to "dissuade" the sale of raw milk.

It's $8 / gallon here. You have to buy it at the dairy in Texas.

Mechadan, that is exactly where I went.

I figured it was a bit pricey, but closest place to me and I didn't want to be driving all over the city in search of it. I'll use it once a year, maybe twice......so not a huge hit to the pocket.

I got two more gallons delivered today, figured I would take one up to maine and spray it up there.

Did we ever determine if it needs to be refrigerated? It is refrigerated now but will be in the car for 7-9 hours.

Without pasteurization, it goes bad pretty quickly. Put it in a cooler with lots of ice.
