Milo/SBM and Overseed schedule

Postby sickticket » August 8th, 2011, 8:01 pm

You guys are great for info so far. Need clarification. Planning overseed right after Labor Day because I will be home to water. I already have the milo in stock and the SBM in at Agway for $15 per 50 lbs so I will pick that up. Do I apply that before, during or after the overseed? I will be covering and rolling peatmoss over the seed to protect and hold water. You already advised doing the starter fert, lime and potassium sulfate in October. When do you suggest I apply the milo/SBM?
Thanks.

Organic fertilizer takes a couple weeks to kick in. I would put some down now and often depending on budget.
