Free Lunch
Hmmm... it seems that every bird within a 3 mile radius has been alerted to the free cracked corn lunch being served in my front yard... hopefully they do not invite the squirrels...

Funny how they don't do that with Milorganite.

I was afraid of that, especially with the large black birds we have by us. Surprisingly there were very few birds coming by.

Re: Free Lunch
I get 'em too. They're welcome here, and can't get enough of the corn to make any real dent in it.
Besides, if they hang around (and bird digestion being what it is), I get the corn back as bird-organite anyway.

LOVE IT. Bird-organite.
I got some birds in the lawn a few weeks ago after applying alfalfa pellets. I was pulling out of the driveway and stopped to look over. They had caterpillars in their beaks. I never knew I had caterpillars in my lawn.
