Sowing seeds with fertilizer is day #1.
30 days later, you can fertilize 1/2 normal rate.
14 days later, 1/2 rate
14 days later, 1/2 rate
14 days later, 1/2 rate
etc etc
Or, fertilize 30 days after sowing seeds full strength and full strength again every 30 days.

GreenLight has a page here. I wonder how that first product works (6-8 months of protection):

I emailed Greenlight last night and this morning, I received a reply from one of their support. They told me that I can buy it online and have it shipped to the store closest to me(so free shipping). What a nice deal! He gave me the site as well.
Woohoo!!!Here you go folks, the name is Do it Best.

By the way, when is the perfect time to spread? Should I use my forsythia blooms as trigger?
Thank you so much jglongisland!

Forsythia blooms are a great trigger for Dimension, although if you go a bit early or late with that stuff you'll find it still works very well. Dimension has a post-emergent effect on crabgrass while it's still small (2 leaves or less, no tillering).
So don't panic if you're a bit off on that.

Cool! Do crabgrass die in winter? I never paid attention to my lawn in winter. I mean, the ones that I am seeing right now. I'm thinking of buying 2 bags so I can also spread it at the back.

Dead as a doornail. You should see it stop expanding any time now, and the first frost will whack it good.

Ah, so crabgrass are annuals but are prolific reseeders!
Thanks for info!

Yep, mine already looks a bit frowsy after a few nights in the high forties (odd for this time of year, but not unheard-of). The edges are purple and it's definitely not happy.
The first good frost will take it out for the year.
Regrettably, it will not take out the 9,000,000 seeds.

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)

I remember seeing a thread somewhere I think 2 days ago. He said to apply WBG using Ortho Dial Spray. I also remember somewhere that the grass should be mowed 2 to 3 times before applying weed killers. What if my grass doesn't reach 2.5", when should WBG be applied?

If your grass doesn't get tall enough to get those cuts in, lets the weeds be. Most will die over the winter, you can hit the rest in May when they start growing again. Once the lawn had been through the winter its ready for pre-M and WBG.

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
It is very, very hard to make a major mistake unless you rush something or apply something to the lawn that it's too young to handle.
Really, hands-off is the best way of dealing with things that first fall. In spring, it's mature enough to deal with almost anything you can throw at it. Now, not so much. So for fall, patience is not a virtue, it's absolutely necessary. Establishment and coverage you get now are the lawn you're going to have...don't rush.

Oh, I'm really patient.
I was just under the impression that we should kill weeds after the 3rd mow. If it's not required, then I won't apply any weed killer.

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
So many of those won't survive mowing (I had a beautiful stand of celosia in the middle of the lawn...it obviously seeded in from the gardens...first mow, gone).
Many others won't survive winter.
Those that do you can deal with in spring.
However...if you get a weed that completely annoys you (I had many), I was hand-plucking them gently and carefully. AFTER first mow, though, as you don't want to walk on it at all before that if you can avoid it.

Awesome!
Me too, when I cut my Coreopsis Tinctoria(annual flowering plant), I accidentally dropped seeds in the middle. Now I see tons of seedlings. My calendula plant also dropped seeds. I think the seedlings are seen from one of my picture.

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
Here are some new pics this morning. I felt alarmed when I saw my new grass.
So I rushed out and started taking pictures so I can post it here. I took the pics around 7am. Also, we were at 41F. I was worried because the color of the blades became silvery just like the color of Lamb's Ear's foliage. Upon closer inspection, I saw morning dew on the blades.
Around 10am, they were all green again. Hehehe.
