I just looked at weather.com and we'll have high 74F-Sun, 79F-Mon, 82F-Tue, 75F-Wed then 68F on Thursday. That should be good.

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
Here is a pic of what I seeded 6 days ago. I was filling in some spots that were flooded away when I did my initial reno on my sidewalk strip. We have had rain almost every single day this week. Granted, these are small sprouts but still exciting to see progress. Note the other seeds that were not covered by the peat? I know some people say that you shouldn't topdress, but this shows what the topdressed seeds are doing (growing) and what the seeds laying on top are doing (nothing). Apparently, all the rain removed some of the dirt/peat since we can see those seeds and the starter fert (looks like salt at this magnification).

Same thing here. I think about 15% of seeds got washed away. I'm not sure if I should fix it this year or I'll just dormant seeding or spring seeding. What are your plans?
What seedlings are those? KBG also?

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
For me, I did a small reno a couple months back and last Sunday I redid the spots that were washed out. (all KBG Mag3 mix). Since we didn't have a massive downpour to wash these out, I should be good. In a week or so I will be overseeding my entire front lawn for good measure. I am currently killing a few spots of fine fescue that are still in my KBG so the overseed and spreading should leave me in good shape.

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
I have some topsoil folks. If in 15 days, there are obvious barespots, how thick of topsoil should I put? Is 1/4" of topsoil and thin layer of peat moss fine? These areas are really hard to keep seeds in place.

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
Here are the latest pics taken this morning. We had a very good rain. Started 4am then slowed down around 11am, then back again around noon until5pm. Now it's drizzling.
I've been trying to upload the pictures for almost 15 mins now but postimage.com won't come up.
Anyways, I just uploaded the pics to my photobucket account.

Indeed. postimage has been pretty crappy these past few days. But it looks good! I wouldn't have expected to see anything by day 11, so it looks like you're off to a great start!

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
Thanks folks! I do have one very very problematic area and that's the small hell strip. It has big puddle. I don't see anything growing. I'm not sure how to get the grass growing. Or maybe the seeds already floated and got washed away. I'm thinking of fixing that area next year. Or create a sod farm at the back, rip it, and put it there.

It looks like the bottom left is the low point, just below the ducks, (ha ha, isn't photoshop great?).
I would dig a small trench and let the water drain towards the expansion crack.

Re: Finally, seeds are down(Day 1)
That's very funny! Hahaha!
I had 3 extra bag of topsoil in the garage. I put it down and it helped a little. Looks like it's really low. I was thinking of asking the builder if they can bring me some dirt. I just decided that I will buy 10 bags later. Oh, there are tons of moss at the bottom
and rain isn't going to stop today, it will be tomorrow afternoon.
