If you rinse out your chemicals well from your sprayer (including wand/hose), there is no reason why you can't reuse it. However, 2 gal of Certainty is A LOT of spot spraying. Whatever you don't use this spring, save for the fall in the same sprayer. I don't find that it loses potency at all in the few months it sits. I think I have 4 small spray canisters sitting with herbicides as well as 2 backpack sprayers.

I just bought the $14 RU few days ago. That means, it really didn't stay that long in the sprayer. I'll clean it really well.

Thanks! :)

Its much easier to see the poa late in the day or early in the morning without sun and/or on a shady day.

Just finished cleaning it. :)

Awesome! I'll apply it tomorrow.

Now that I've dropped Dimension 0-0-7 4 days ago, and will be spraying WBG tomorrow or Wednesday, do I still need to put another layer of weed killer/barrier sometime mid April? If so, what product would it be? Turb Builder with Halts?

Dimension should carry you for another 3-4 months (unless there is a ton of rain). If you have a bad poa problem I'd get a second dose of it ready for the June timeframe, then again in September (when its most likely to germinate).

Keep it well fed, be careful not to overwater (you might think it needs water but in reality it could be poa a or that's thirsty.

The more OM you have the better your soil will hold water. If you are in a new development with crappy soil the Morph method works.

My last year's soil test was really good. And yes, I will use organic method.

Some updates: poa grasses & weeds started to yellow today.

Not necessarily. I like to spray early morning with some dew on the leaves. On dry leaves, the product may have trouble sticking. Monsanto recommends 1 teaspoon of non-ionic surfactant per gallon of mix. Many just use some dishwater detergent. Try hard to remember which clumps you already sprayed--overspraying is NOT GOOD!

1 tsp per gallon is sufficient. I use about 1 1/2 tsp per gallon of cheap Suave shampoo. Same stuff, really.

Dew also means that the grass' pores are open and actively absorbing material, so it's the best time to apply.

Coolio!!! I'll use shampoo then. :)

I didn't have a chance this morning because the grass was white and frozen. Then I became busy. Should I do it this afternoon or should I wait again tomorrow morning?

Thanks buddy! :)

While it might be slightly more effective during morning dew (tough in March then things tend to go from frost to dry), it works any time. I tend to follow the dew rule for spraying iron when possible, but early evening is also good for that. For most herbicides, I don't worry about it.

I applied mine around 2 PM on a 72 degree day. Those patches are now obviously turning very pale and looking sickly (the fact that I stand over them chanting, "Die! Die!" might be helping). So it really doesn't matter.

Certainty is a bit slow, remember--a minimum of about four days to show any effect, really, although growth tends to stop immediately. If it isn't seriously hurting in 2 weeks, ask about spraying it lightly again.

Thanks Morph. I applied it yesterday early evening.

Today, I bought the hose end sprayer Weed B Gone. Since I just applied Certainty, when is it ideal to apply Weeb B Gone so as not to affect the effectiveness of Certainty?

Yeah, tell us! The Weed-B-Gone can technically go 24 hours after the Certainty, 'though I'd probably wait 2 days or so to give it all the time I can. It's still a little early for Weed-B-Gone, depending on what you have. I'm still using the Round Up and watching it kill slooooowly.
