Yoshino Flowering Cherry Tree
I have two of them one on each side of the drive. The last couple days the one closest to the neighbor that grows only weeds, the leaves started browning and falling off. My initial thought was that he sprayed something over the last week and it drifted in the wind, triple digit temps all last week. After searching the internet, I've come to the conclusion that maybe it's Maple Wilt.
Could someone verify this?

Close up of the leaves is below, they brown on the outside and move in until the entire leaf is brown then it falls off. The tree itself feels extremely sturdy and healthy. There really is no difference between the two locations and I haven't put anything down besides cracked corn and pre-em.

Re: Yoshino Flowering Cherry Tree
I have recently (9/27) planted a Yoshino cherry tree outside. It has become pretty cold pretty quickly, it has even frosted a couple of times. About 2 weeks after planting the tree it's leaves started falling off. There are still about 7-10 leaves still on it, but I'm wondering if it's going to make it? It is the fall season in the midwest, so is that the reason the leaves fell off or am I doing something wrong? Also, should I cover it or the roots when it frosts?

Dannsmile, where are you? Your location says "NY" but your posts speak of the Midwest and Crape Myrtles blooming.
