I just tried 20 TB Sunflower seeds in a damp paper towel, folding them in on Saturday and putting the plastic Ziploc bag atop the television for a bit of warmth.

4 have sprouted as of today already! Next up, plant one of the sprouted seeds and make sure the genes stayed true. The pot's already prepped and damping now--too small, but that's OK, I don't expect full growth inside and over the winter anyway.
