Hot Weather Tomato's

OK thought I would start a thread for you folks in the southeast and southwest. So where are you and what varieties do well for you in your area.

Especiall want to hear for those in the Southwest like Arizona and New Mexico high elevations.

well, here's what the Univ. of Mo. has to say--

last few years, we've had good luck with romas, cherry tomatoes(red and yellow), our favorite is the Cherokee Purple(good for cooking, great for a BLT), trying some Golden Jubilee(from seed) this year.

(somewhere down in the basement ya still got that dehydrator? try the cherry tomatoes in there. bags and bags of them, last thru the winter.)

Where I live now we do not need a dehydrator, just throw whatever on the roof for a couple of days here in Prescott AZ. :D

good luck with the tomato's, sounds like irragation is key.
ya gonna change your location? how about grass type?

No not going to change location, I am here and partially retired now with my new bride. Grass type is still the same, just a whole lot less of it in my yard maybe 500/ft2 and that is a huge lawn in AZ. However I know have a golf course to manage part time.
