Wheelbarrow or Hand Cart??
I was looking around on the net to see what was out there in the way of wheelbarrows and now I am leaning towards a cart Like This, I know it is a little pricey but I can't find a bad review on it. I was wondering what everyone else has and what there thoughts were on the subject. I plan on using it mainly to move mulch and compost around the yard and flower beds.

I had a cart like that and I honestly didn't care for it. It's actually kind of a pain to dump in tight areas when mulching. I prefer two wheeled wheel barrows. They are probably the easiest to use and can be had for between $60-$100.

Sorry, I didn't remember paying that much for mine but looks like around $120, but here's a link for it at Lowes.

Re: Wheelbarrow or Hand Cart??
I have a dump cart and a single wheeled wheel barrow...I much prefer the cart when moving anything heavy, especially since I can hook it up to my tractor. My wife and I moved 17 yards of fill dirt last year with it and couldn't imagine not having it. Very stable moving it around my sloped yard.

My thinking is that I really don't need to get into really tight spaces and plus moving around heavy stuff with a wheelbarrow seems to really give your forearms a workout while this one would just work mainly my legs which are much stronger. The other less expensive carts don't seem to hold up as well as I think the Ursa will, it seems to be built really well. As for dumping the material, the reviews say it dumps relatively easy!!

That cart looks awesome!
I think a two wheeled barrow blows away a single wheel.
This thing looks like it would blow away a two wheeler.

You're right, while a two wheeler is pretty stable, you are still lifting a good amount of weight with your arms.

Re: Wheelbarrow or Hand Cart??
I have a regular old wheelbarrow and a hand cart with pneumatice wheels. I mostly use the wheelbarrow, but it doensn't hold nearly as much as I can fit in my trash can sized recycle bin from the county. Whenever I'm moving lots of something, I'll fill the recyle can and than wiggle it onto the hand truck and move it on that. It does get rather heavy especially if what you're moving is wet or you are going up hill. I actually have new pneumatic wheels on my Christmas list this year as I managed to mangle/rip one of them on some bricks. Hope Santa comes through!

Re: Wheelbarrow or Hand Cart??
I have the 4 wheel yellow Vigoro wagon dump cart it's ok, well not really. (1,000 pd. capacity). I've had it for about 3-4 yrs. I think. I like it but the wheels are junk, I went to harbor freight and bought solid wheels just to get by. I do like the dump feature, however if your on a hill or driveway that has a slope it can start rolling on you. If your busy then your chasing a wagon. So a brake or pay attention to the wheel direction parked is required. I think there are advantages and disadvantages to both types. Your asking a lot from the wheels w/ 1000 pds. in it.

We're on a corner lot....8500 sq ft of grass and I use that Gorilla cart that HD has.....69 bucks...600 lb capacity. Even my wife, as small as she is, likes it. Handy for dirt, mulch, etc. It even hangs well in the garage. Just my .02

Looks better than my vigoro. Keep an eye on tire pressures. Wonder if they have one on the floor at my local t/s. I'll check it out.

I looked at the ones at HD and Lowes that were similar but this one had an extra 200lb capacity plus the tray that fits in the middle was a nice added bonus. It took about an hour to put together all by myself and seems really sturdy. I will definitely keep an eye on tire pressure when I start to load it down!!! We will see how it holds up when I use it to move sand all over the yard later this spring.

Please give some feed back, I think mine is going to the dumpster possibly before the end of this season.
