Me too... fall applications just around the corner! Does anyone have this sprayer?

I just bought the S15 and so far I'm fairly impressed, but haven't done the full testing on it yet. Full report when I do.

Can't wait, buddy!
I thought I found stonewall @ Lesco without nitrogen, but apparently the inventory on the net is wrong. Looks like I'm back to liquid again.
Look forward to your review. They are always honest and I'll feel good about passing or purchasing.

It's going to be a purchase--with some warnings that may lead to a pass depending on your requirements.
I want to measure the spray width precisely to see what I get at standard walk and recommended speed (which, at 3 MPH, is faster than I walk when pushing that much weight). Plus with the different spray nozzles and height settings.

MorpheusPA... looking forward to your review. I just read your Gilmour 362 sprayer review and am leaning toward trying that out instead of the s15 for my fall pre and post emergent herbicide applications. Seems like it might be a quicker and simpler process to use the hose end sprayer and certainly more cost effective.

For herbicides, post-emergent, I think I'd use a hand-held or backpack sprayer, actually. The Gilmour is going to pump the water out too fast, and deliver a lot more herbicide than you need.
Pre-em, it depends on your mix, but you'll have to be very careful. That was one of the reasons I got the S15--I have a deft hand on that, but I don't trust it for pre-emergent that has to be metered pretty carefully.
The S15 feathers the edge of the spray, so you'd have to use a spreader tracker there (I'd recommend that in most cases anyway).

Would you have less hesitation (or even recommend) using the Gilmour 362 for herbicides if they are pre-diluted as to not deliver more herbicide than needed?

Re: Walk-Behind Sprayer: Earthway S25 Spray-Pro Mark III?
Probably not. Herbicide has to be at the correct concentration, which a pre-dilution isn't going to give you. With the Gilmour, my concern is that most washes over the plant and off it.
For iron, no problem. Kelp, humates, soil conditioner, great, no problem. Herbicides...no.

Re: Walk-Behind Sprayer: Earthway S25 Spray-Pro Mark III?
Morpheus, I have just found that you have bought a S15! Exciting! Actually my initial purpose to buy the push sprayer was to apply soil conditioner, liquid kelp, liquid aerator, biological dethatcher on the lawn, so I am glad to hear that you think it is useful to apply them. By the way, did you purchase Optional Hand Sprayer for spot treatments? If so, how is the performance?
While I was wondering if I buy s25 or s15, my 4-year-old Hudson 4 gal. NeverPump backpack sprayer stopped working -- battery was dead. Since spraying vegetables and roses is crucial and I have a lot of spraying of herbicide on the lawn for our lawn renovation, I decided to buy a replacement for the backpack sprayer and purchasing s25 or s15 will be the first thing I should do next spring.
Anyway, after I considered several electric back pack sprayer models, I purchased Murayama Guardian Compact battery powered backpack sprayer (4 gal.). I believe Dramm BP-4 is exactly the same machine and manufactured by Murayama. So if you are interested in its performance, you can check these videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X680T-LY-XIhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUgxL-7-3Nc&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9bkKR_RKDk. It weighs 11.7 lbs. which is about 8 lbs. less than NeverPump and Shurflo. The psi is 160 while NeverPump psi is 60 and Shurflo is 40. It has many nozzle options. So, I also ordered a nozzle with weed shield for spot treatments and a driftless 4 nozzle boom for herbicide on lawn.
4 gallons water, 33.4 pounds plus the sprayer’s weight is still heavy for me but with this sprayer I am able to carry on yard work for hours without resting. It tells something, right? Although it is only 8 lbs. less weight on my shoulder compared to my old NeverPump, I think it certainly helps me. Well, I need to find a cart within a few year though so that I can put the sprayer on the cart to carry it around the yard. For now, I am quite pleased with my purchase; less weight, powerful pressure, very fine mist, easy to clean, smaller body, and long battery life (manual says it works for 2 hours with one charge but after I worked 5 hours on my yard, it still 2/3 full). I found that the battery balance meter is very useful. If I find more pros or anything cons, let me post again

I didn't bother with the hand sprayer. I have plenty of those for smaller tasks, actually.
For the kelp, conditioner, and humic acid a hose end is actually easier for me.

After I found that you posted an extensive review on s15, I realized that you recommend to use a hose end sprayer for these supplement applicaitons. I am leaning toward S15 now because of the total weight of the s15 when it is filled with liquid
Thank you for the excellent review!-

Re: Walk-Behind Sprayer: Earthway S25 Spray-Pro Mark III?
After thinking about it some more I think I agree that the Gilmour sprayer is not the right choice for herbicides and other well regulated products. I'm not concerned about it not mixing the ratio correctly or that it would put down too much (as this could be regulated by diluting the concentrate)... but my concern is that you really don't know how much is going down. The "wild card" variable is the water pressure...
With the S15 the output rate is known and documented in their manual so you do know how much you're putting down in addition to having the right ratios.

Exactly, and your mix will be determined by the amount you put in and the water (measured) that you add.
The majority of my herbicides live in 1 gallon sprayers since I only ever spot-spray. Even there, the stuff sits for ages until I use the gallon.
About the only one I see myself using over wide areas once or twice a year is Tenacity. Unlike Weed B Gone, Tenacity's application has to be very precise.
