Is There Such A Thing???
Is there a pirece of equipment or tool that would allow one to cut a small patch of grass ( i.e. 16" X 48" ) with the look of a nice even cut of a lawnmower? One end is open and the other side is faced by a wall. My lawn mower does not easily fit in this area and when I use it the wheels squash the grass that is against the wall.
I Know I can use hedge trimmer manual shears, but the cut is not as even and is time consuming. Also this technic mangles the grass somethimes.I wonder if the is some type of electric device similar to electric hedge trimmer ( the black & decker type) that will work for grass in tricky areas?
I also believe there are manual shears that have bent blade so that the handle is parralel to the blades. So that the blade cuts in the horizontal plane vs, on an angle with regular shears. But this is still a manual tast and am not sure if the top of the grass would be as even as a mower.

I am nowhere good enough, but have seen some that can manage a very even cut on areas like that using a string trimmer.

Re: Is There Such A Thing???
Someone needs to put together a string trimmer tutorial.
I'd buy it.

String trimmer. 3 years ago I was totally incompetent with it, but now I run around like a pro. Get a straight pole edge trimmer. I would be happy to help contribute to a string trimmer FAQ.
