Is it heavy to carry around when full?

Has a shoulder strap. Not too bad. I wouldn't want to carry any more than that except on a backpack though.

eriocaulon- would the 2 gallon yard tender work for blanketing 1000 sq ft plots? also, would it make it without re-pumping?

Re: Pump sprayers?
If I were to guess, I would think 1000sqft would be the max before the flow starts to wane. Depends on your tip you are using and how much volume you are putting down too. The Sp systems is sooooo much better than any other tank sprayers I have used, that I can't imagine you'd be disappointed with it. I was using my RL Flow-Master "Pro" 2-gal Sprayer to spray Certainty--very frustrating!

Re: Pump sprayers?
cool. I am strongly considering one of these. does the 3 gallon have more pressure capacity and how would it perform over 1K? this is assuming teejet fan nozzle.

Re: Pump sprayers?
I want to add that I have a cheap sprayer now. I just wanted you to know that 2 gallons covers 1300sqft for me with a fan spray pattern.

Re: Pump sprayers?
Cheap sprayers here too, two 1 gallon and one 4 gallon. Both about cover 1,500-2,500 square feet depending on how fast I walk, using the fan spray.

I can't really say but I would imagine that the 3 gallon would have a higher capacity. I do not use either of these to blanket more than 1000 sq.ft or so. I use one of my backpacks to do larger sprays. I would say that compared to my 2gal RL Flo-master, I am having to repump 3x less.

Re: Pump sprayers?
This 4 gallon one gets OK reviews for the price and is only $44 at Sams Club. I think I will buy it.

Just your thoughts, I read a review and someone complained about having difficulty pumping the sprayer, while spraying his fruit trees hard to get to the handle. Do you take the backpack off to pump up the sprayer?

The 3 gal I mentioned is not a backpack sprayer. I am going to reserve judgement on the SP Systems backpack since I have no first hand experience with it and I cannot find that they have pressure control (ie. regulator that you can set for 40 psi, 50 psi, etc.). The 2 and 3 gallon Yardtenders I mentioned are tank sprayers and I think they are great.

Re: Pump sprayers?
Anybody have anything new on their tank sprayers? I'm still looking at them. Need one for the fall apps. mine are mediocre at best. I'm looking at SP Systems 2 or 3 gal.

Re: Pump sprayers?
I bought this chapin industrial 3.5g sprayer which is intended for concrete spraying.
I've only used it a few times but so far I really like it. seems like it will last a long time. So far I've only used it to spray weed b gon and drive75 over approx 2K sq ft (total lawn 14K). I calibrated the sprayer and it takes about 2 gallons to cover 1K sq ft with the 0.5 gpm nozzle. they also include a 1.0 GPM nozzle which i haven't tried yet.
i had read reviews of plastic tanks (at similar price point) leaking so I decided to try out this model.

Seems heavy 12 pds. empty. How well does it hold pressure while spraying.

Re: Pump sprayers?
It holds pressure pretty well. If you pump a lot when full It should be enough to empty the tank. You may have to re-pump at one point if you don't pump as much for the initial pump
