Re: Meet my new snow eater :)
I told my wife we should be in the car on the way up to Maine so we can enjoy the storm (11-16 inches expected by my place), instead we are going to get 2-3 inches of rain down here.
That's a beast. Get some silicon spray on the inside of the chute, I used the Ariens Sno-Jet stuff last year and it worked great on the heavy sticky stuff, keeps it from sticking.
Do you have small kids? I used to spend hours blowing all the snow into one central spot so we could build a snow cave. Nothing like snowblown snow vs. plowed snow for that.
BTW, I love the chains.

Yeah I definitely spray the auger and chute every storm.
No more kids at home for me. Daughter is a freshmen in college. Just got rid of the trampoline out of the backyard this past summer
Expensive set-up but should make clearing the long driveway much, much easier and faster

True. By late February I'm ready for the mower. Putting a new scraper and "feet" on my Honda this year, it's getting tuned up at the shop right now.

Nope
, I'm near the coast so we got enough of a buffer. 10 miles west and they got 3-4 inches.

Have you had a real snowfall yet on the coast to try that monster out?

Re: Meet my new snow eater :)
Two storms of note and wife had no issues.
I was home for a few days in January and has 3 inch storm and it is WAY faster than using walk-behind. Throws snow amazingly far.
Haven't had the chance to see how it does in major snow battle with 12 inch+ snow, etc but I have no doubt it won't even break a sweat.
My walk-behind had the snow enclosure. I am thinking about buying one for the tractor set-up but I have to measure and make sure it will fit under my shed door which is where I park it. Get the wind going the right direction and you get a faceful of snow...

Re: Meet my new snow eater :)
Got a foot according to my wife (I'm still overseas). The fact that she also did the neighbors driveway tells me it's doing the job quite admirably.
I do need to get a weather enclosure and will build a 12V lighting system on it eventually.
