Irrigation and ditches
When it comes to inground irrigation, how do people tend to deal with ditches? I would love for a nicely manicured lawn all the way to about a foot from the road (where there is crushed gravel). How have people handled watering the ditch if the irrigation lines do not extend to the far side of the ditch?

Re: Irrigation and ditches
The easiest way to design one is putting heads around the perimeter and spraying in towards the middle of the property. That will provide the least amount of waste from irrigating roads and driveways, neither of which really need the water anyway.
That said, if I lived on a BUSY road, I probably wouldn't have plumbed heads right beside the road, either. If I were to instead spray OUT towards the road, I would probably use spray heads or multi-stream rotors.
I would work the math a hundred times over to make for certain how far these things were going to spray with my design. Then I would space them that far off the road. Maybe 90% of the distance and still let a little hit the road to be on the safe side.

Michael,
I haven't looked at it before. It's quite a bit of reading. That should keep me busy for a couple days...
