I did not know this, thank you. What does the block block and the crank crank? I'd ask what the piston...er, well, that's a bit off-color. :-)

Like I said, clueless on mechanical things that are much out of the early Industrial era... :-)

Think of it being the drive of the engine that gets everything moving. Best I can do.

I really don't know. However, you can do a search online and comparison shop the same (or similar) models being sold.

I was talking to a buddy about mowers the other day and remembered this thread. I looked around and this model is available for $850.00 with free delivery to my door right now. Man, I was drooling.

Just read this thread... Started lawn care this year and With all there is to considwr i didn't think about the mower much. In fact, got an older Murrey w/ B&S engine from a co-worker free and thought that was a great deal for starters. Got a mower repair guy to tune it up for 70 bucks and put a new blade, and using it fine. Is there a problem doing this? Why isn't it good enough for a while? The only thing that may consciously concern me is cutting height. Highest setting doesnt seem extremely high, not 100% sure how to measure that. Is there anything else that would necessitate me getting something better right away or can I wear this thing out in good conscience? Thank you.

If you don't have a problem, don't spend time looking for a solution.

Ok you are right. It was the comment about laughing at Murray that made me wonder what's wrong with it...

It's poorly built - but running it into the ground until it gives up the ghost is OK.

I was in home Depot yesterday, they had all the honda display mowers on sale for 30% off, including the fancy $700-800 ones.....I was tempted, but complete overkill for my 1500 sq ft patch of grass!

Thought I would post this, it seems to be a little hard to find in the standard info.
Click on oil pump. Now this does apply to v-twin engines so I will try to find the standard 1 cylinder, which has the splash / forced lube. Appears to be splash paddles W/ Timing belt slinger for xtra oiling.

HanLawn, where is your Home Depot? Did they have some of the "lower" models $400-$600 at 30% off too?
Thanks!

Frederick, maryland. I only saw 2 floor model Hondas, both were the more high end models- probably sold very quickly.....even I was tempted and I only have a tiny 1500 ft lawn. Not sure if it is a nationwide sale or local? Did you check your local store yet?

It's not an advertised nationwide sale, however, my brother-in-law got the same deal last week in Detroit. I went to my local store and they said they would price match it but they had to know the exact store to call. There are a ton of HD's in the Detroit area and I haven't been able to get a hold of my bro to find out since he's in Mexico for work. Maybe I'll have my store call the Frederick store to match. Is there only one store in the Frederick area or was there a specific one you went to?
Thanks again...
