Ez flo tank positioning
Thinking about buying an ez flo. Some of the literature says tank cap needs to be above connection point but my line in the house is pretty close to the joists in the ceiling of my basement. If iget the ball coupling valve can the cap then be a few feet below the line? I also have copper lines inside so I will have to do threaded ends to convert to the PVC coupler. Those who have it how high is the cap in relation to the connection point?
Also are you happy with it's performance?

I can't answer your questions. Hopefully someone else will. But, since you haven't purchased yet you might want to read a thread from an unhappy ez flo owner. Do a google search for "ez flo do not buy" and click the first result. Basically, the ez flo did not put the product out at a proper ratio; the product came out of the tank much faster than advertised. Based on that thread I purchased the "Dosmatic MiniDos 1%". It is more expensive, but works as advertised. I also, recently purchased a pint size "Add-it" fertilizer injector for my drip irrigation system and found that the canister empties (not really empty but the solution is replaced with tap water) at about twice the speed as it should.

Many of us have EZ-FLO's. One disgruntled user on Google is "so what?".

Any real world experience on positioning and use from bl customers would be helpful. Not looking for random reviews on google I have no faith in.

Re: Ez flo tank positioning
I love my EZ-FLOs--both of them. I have the small and large one, hose-end. They seem to output at about the rate advertised, give or take, not that I really care. For plant food, the dilution is well under the maximum even near the high rate, and that's the only thing that would concern me.
In both cases, my cap is well above the inlet for the water, so I can't help with that. I think the recommendation is because of water pressure--the output from the cap is moving downhill on average, tugging the solution with it. I'd suggest considering that pretty hard and fast as a rule and choosing something else if it's an issue.
The only warning I can give is that output is poor if the water flow is low--I have a bit of trouble with it on my extreme back line drip, but that's only 50 GPH output or so. I need to change that to increase the flow so it works there too. It's great on my front garden, about 150 GPH. The back garden is closer to 300 GPH (dual branches), works fantastically well there too.

Sometimes. If I'm too lazy to break out the hose-end, I'll put the kelp, humates, and soil conditioner in the EZ-Flo and run it clear.
Mostly I use mine to feed and add things to the gardens--mostly kelp, sometimes HA, occasionally soil conditioner.

That's what I thought. I thought about getting one just for that but a $12 hose end sprayer sounded better lol

Re: Ez flo tank positioning
That works fine, too!
I like the EZ-Flo because I can load the week's feeding and set it going and walk away. Or set it very low and let it trickle in over a number of feedings (useful if the weather's very hot so I'm not bouncing the nitrogen levels too much in the soil all at once).
It'd be most useful with an irrigation system or drip system, although my mother uses hers when she waters the pots as well as when she hooks up the garden watering.
