Fiskars Momentum Reel Mower
Picked up a new Fiskars yesterday to supplement the Sunlawn reel mower I have been using for the last few years, mainly because the Sunlawn blades were getting a bit dull and I also wanted to be able to cut above the 2 inch max the sunlawn permits {the fiskars can be adjusted from 1-4 inches, I will try going 3 inches, even though I am not a fan of the way taller grass looks}. tried it out last night, and so far I like it better than my old reel mower, the extra weight {51 pounds VS 21} actually seems to make it glide along easier- will report back after a few uses.

Re: Fiskars Momentum Reel Mower
I look forward to your opinion after a few uses. I am currently using a Sunlawn MM1 from 2007 and it is not a great lawnmower. (The MM1 cuts to 2 3/4 inches) Right now it is being professionally sharpened and we'll use it thru July but we need something better that cuts to 4 inches.
Thanks

Re: Fiskars Momentum Reel Mower
As of today, I have now used the new mower 7-8 times and overall I am very happy with it. Cuts great at 3.25 inch setting and seems to be of much better heavier duty construction than any other reel mower I have used/looked at. The only disadvantage is due to its larger size than most reel mowers, it is more difficult to bet into tight corners- but the string trimmer takes care of those few areas. Highly recommended, the box is going in the trash tomorrow as it passed the test !
