Yeah, I wouldn't waste my time fixing their product. Get a new one in the mail or get a refund.

Technically? No. But it's a completely valid agglutination (the process of making a new word by adding an affix), crystal-clear in its intent, and perfectly acceptable in casual conversation.
Yeah, I was an English, Writing, and Linguistics major. So there.

Hey, Hanlawn! Now that a week has passed, do you think you could find it in your heart to finish that thought.
Pretty please.

Well, I think I have an idea of what he was getting at, though he might be declining to finish the thought because you refuted his premise (that no-name reels not available in big box stores are the biggest sellers at online push reel vendors).
I think his theory is that no-name reel mowers are not carried in big box stores because they get returned so often that the big box stores recognize the shoddy workmanship and refuse to carry them since they're always returned and the product is more trouble than it is worth to carry.
Meanwhile, online retailers are difficult to return such large items to, so a lot of people who have a faulty product will just try to "make it work" rather than deal with the shipping involved with a return. And I would guess that since big box stores will not carry their product, Hanlawn would say that web-based retailer probably get a pretty good price on the product.
So I assume his argument goes something like that.

I got it. Somebody tries to get you to actually make a point and you take your ball and go home. How anything said in this thread pissed you off that bad is beyond me. I am a million percent sure that I will be wrong and say something stupid in a post one day. I fully expect to be corrected. And I fully expect to learn from every mistake or misconception I have. Next time I'll be sure to let anything false that comes out of your mouth go. I'd hate to correct you.
I wasn't trying to be a jerk. Just makin' discussion. Take that FWIW.
And I'm sure I'm on ignore. Probably the same as these imaginary mascots you've had trouble with.
Conveeeeeeenient.

Re: Finally bought a Mascot reel, disapointed.
I agree that there's probably something wrong with a reel mower if it won't cut grass right at the standard reel mower 1"-2" heights of cut....
There's a bit of juju that you gotta understand about reel mowers - especially if you always used Rotary mowers... like they DON'T do a good job of hacking down the tall weeds and seed heads that sprout in the lawn... They also do a horrible job with leaves and will jam up on little sticks... Most also don't do a very good job with really high cut heights... like >3" cut heights... It's not an example of a poorly made model.. It's a limitation of the reel mower itself....
If you've gone through 6 or 8 different models/brands and none are satisfactory - it's a sign that the reel mower isn't right for you... There's nothing wrong with that....
Personally, I like being able to grind up leaves and sticks and acorns.... I like that I can go over to the store and buy a new blade if I wreck one on a stump or big rock... I don't like to fool with spending an hour before mowing picking up sticks and raking leaves....
I have a Mascot 21"... Probably shouldn't have bought a reel mower in hind signt... It's great for the first bunch of cuttings after an overseed or after a new seed drop.... It doesn't pull up all the fresh grass out of the ground like a Rotary can do.... Once the fall leaves start falling - it's back to the rotary again...
Thanks
