Just emailed this seller to see if they had any 2150's and about 20 min later there they were. I know nothing about this seller only that they have good feedback and sell good equipment. This is the lowest price I have seen on this spreader. I am not affiliated with this seller at all. Just passing on info to you all.

Seller is legit - they have an actual brick and mortar family owned store here in Chicago. Been there many years, mainly dealing with the pro landscape guys. (I think) Children now using the internet to boost sales for their store / father's store.

+1. These guys run a tight ship. Decent prices and excellent service. I buy most of my equipment from Russo. Gary I think the "kids" are running the show at the b&m too.

Re: Earthway 2150 spreader ebay
FYI, the LOWES in my area has a JOHN DEERE spreader that is just a rebadged Earthway 2150 most likely. It is on clearance for $99 (reg. $150). It has a green bucket instead of red, and has the JD logo on it. Everything else looks the same. Compared to my Earthway 2050P Estate spreader, this thing is a tank! I know many on the board recommend the 2150 but the pictures I've seen on the internet does not do this spreader justice. I will likely pick up the JD version tomorrow since I am a JD fan.

Re: Earthway 2150 spreader ebay
Ive seen that same spreader and I hope my local big box has this deal. My Earthyway is in need of replacement as the gear box is whacked after I backed into with my tractor and bent the axle. Pushing it is like have the shopping cart with the uneven wheel. Good grief is it annoying.

Re: Earthway 2150 spreader ebay
Wunderbar! Picked up the the spreader--they had no less than 10 of them. I bought one that was not assembled (basically handle not installed). Their assembled units all seemed to have scratches with rust showing through. Just make sure you tighten every nut you see. Can't wait to use it! I was saving up for a Spyker 288 but this unit feels very solid and will no doubt be a pleasure to use.
Hope you all can get in on this deal if you are looking for a nice spreader, but Lowes clearances can be very regional and often store-to-store even in a given area.

Re: Earthway 2150 spreader ebay
Jackpot. My local Lowe's only had one in stock and I grabbed it and fed my grass today.
Edit: This spreader is made by Brinly-Hardy: Click here for more information
The thing is very well made and worth every penny at the $99 price if you have a large lawn.

Hey, nice finding who makes it! I wonder if Brinly-Hardy makes the Earthway 2150 then too. It looks identical!
Edit: holes look like Earthway Ev-N-spread and though the term is not used in the manual; the spreader settings for each lb/1000 rate is identical to Earthway's spreader settings too.

Re: Earthway 2150 spreader ebay
My local Lowes had several on sale for $99 the other day. I did some searching for reviews, but came up empty. I guess I should have just looked here first. I'm going to pick one up in the next day or two.

Re: Earthway 2150 spreader ebay
Sorry I missed your post. I picked it up at the Lowes on Route 38 in Lumberton. I may be back down there tomorrow and can check to see if they still have them.

Hi,
Just to correct this thread, the JD unit at Lowes is a poor copy of our 2150. EarthWay® spreaders are one of the most copied (by China) L&G product in the world - the reason is our reputation for high quality and high technology. Check out the finish and fasteners and ask yourself if a product that is claimed to be made in the USA would use small metric hardware or have metal parts with rust under paint? EarthWay® made in Indiana.

I do not know where you get your information. The JD spreader is made in the good ol' USA. It is a beast and a product deserving of it's green color. I just checked out the hardware and the fasteners and the entire unit is as if I just bought it today even though it is a year and a half old. I have not seen the 2150 in person, but my JD spreader is far superior to my Earthway 2050p, and noticeably better than my 2130 Earthway High FLow spreader.
PS. the Brinly version is also made in the USA.

Jeff, I would wait to do the big talking for when these S15 sprayers quit snapping their tiny plastic pump brackets.
I love Earthway products, but just sayin'........

Well...yes. Poor design is poor design, even from a good company. And with the number that broke, it's poor design.

Yep. And I am so glad the company is acknowledging a poor design choice and making it right.
I probably should have kept my mouth shut on this topic, but given the circumstances of Jeff's joining the forum, I found the slamming of a competitor in this manner to be in poor taste and a little off putting.
